LGBTQIA2S+ ALLYSHIP IN 2025:HOW TO ACTIVELY RESIST HOMOPHOBIA AND TRANSPHOBIA

LGBTQIA2s+ Allyship in 2025: How to Actively Resist Homophobia and Transphobia

This virtual session is for open-hearted people who care about LGBTQIA2S+ communities and want to keep growing in their allyship. Maybe you want to be a better supervisor, friend, or family member to someone who’s LGBTQIA2S+. Maybe you're working to ensure your organization, classroom, or community is as inclusive and affirming as possible — and trying to navigate this shifting moment with clarity and commitment.

Right now, LGBTQIA2S+ people — especially trans and nonbinary folks — are facing escalating threats: legal rollbacks, targeted violence, and increasingly hostile rhetoric. Across the broader queer community, we’re also witnessing a deliberate erasure of history, identity, and culture — in schools, media, and public policy. It’s a lot to take in, and it can be hard to know where to start or how to keep showing up.

This session offers a supportive, judgment-free space to build your understanding, strengthen your action, and deepen your commitment. Join seasoned trainers Lukas Soto and Emily Evans for a clear, welcoming introduction to LGBTQIA2S+ allyship. We’ll cover key concepts, common missteps, and practical, everyday ways to stand in solidarity — at work, at home, and in community.
